What's that you say? A little about me? Well okay...
Heather Stewart is an accomplished actress and singer-songwriter in Los Angeles. She started her singing career as a background vocalist for the “Inda Eaton Band” where she toured around the U.S. opening for such acts as Hootie and the Blowfish, LeAnn Rimes, John Hiatt, and Blues Traveler. She gained some invaluable knowledge… like how to empty the sewage from the band “moho” (motor home) and don’t ever judge a venue (even if it is a strip club) as you just might end up getting a lap dance after the show yourself. She also learned that performing is not just about getting the notes right. It’s about connecting to the audience and taking them on the ride with you. She tries never to forget that when performing. She finally made it back home from “the road” and decided to combine her singing with her acting skills. How, you ask? By writing and performing a popular one-woman cabaret show. That eventually led to other projects including voicing characters and singing with the legendary Julie Andrews in “The Great American Mousical” which can be seen and heard at www.JulieAndrewsCollection.com. After that, Heather realized it was time to go creatively one-step further and start writing her own original music. At the same time, she was cast as one of the leads in the independent film, “Young, Single and Angry” and as fate would have it, they also decided to feature one of her songs, “Lonely Woman” in the film. The film has been storming around the indie film circuit and looks to have a promising future. She then collaborated with the talented Los Angeles based songwriter Peter Andrews and the result of that collaboration is her debut album, “Life of the Party”. The title track off the album (of the same name) was recently featured in an episode of ABC’s “Men in Trees” starring Anne Heche. So the buzz is about. She is now performing around Los Angeles and hopes to take it on the road soon. As for her acting career, Heather has performed in a plentitude of plays in Los Angeles, including the critically acclaimed, “Kimberly Akimbo” and “Waltzing with Death.” Oh, and she recently discovered a talent for and love of stand-up comedy. Oh and one more thing, while skeet shooting, she discovered she’s a very good shot…an important talent for any possible zombie attacks.
